Aluminum Truss
Schebler Fabricated and Installed a 70-ft-long Aluminum Truss with Accuracy to Accommodate Laboratory Equipment
Schebler Specialty Fab turned 1,250 linear feet of aluminum tubing into a 70-ft.-long, 7,000-pound truss bridge for the University of Iowa’s Wave Basin laboratory. Funded by the U.S. Navy, it will be used to study the effects of waves on ships. Schebler relied on a 3D laser cutting and its welders’ collective expertise to meet the strength and stringent dimensional requirements of the project. See more about the project in the Application section of this website or in the Fabricator®.
