New Capabilities at Schebler

Attractive value propositions make Schebler Specialty Fab the resource of choice in contract manufacturing for many industries. The new stamping capabilities added by Schebler in our acquisition of assets from East Moline Metal Products helps to round out that value stream, enabling us to offer additional fabrication services that help our customers succeed in their marketplace. In addition to the new physical assets, new personnel are also joining the Schebler team, bringing their extensive process and quality system expertise to our already strong and unique fabrication services.

At Schebler Specialty Fab, we believe it is what you do with your assets that matters and sets you apart from others. Our new stamping capabilities enable the efficient forming of high to medium volume parts with multiple features in a single or progressive process using custom designed dies and compound or progressive tooling.  Quick set-up technology is also available to facilitate short- or long-run production of parts processed from blanks, bars, strips or coils of a wide-array of material types. The piercing of holes, slots, squares, keyholes, extrusions or other unique customer designs can also be performed. Other operations available from Schebler include notching, staking, cutoff, trimming and custom part identification such as part numbers, logos, assembly tags, tracking data and Julian dates.

A few of the specific stamping systems available from Schebler are:

  • 45-ton OBS press, 31” x 17” bed
  • 60-ton OBI automated press and feeder, 32” x 21” bed
  • 110-ton variable speed OBS press, 41” x 29” bed
  • 200-ton variable speed OBS press, 57” x 33” bed

Schebler Specialty Fab also anticipates offering customers large press capabilities from 600- to 1000-ton, with a 72-inch x 48- inch envelop in the near future.

To optimize the value of the new services, our expanded internal tool and die capabilities offer the ability for skilled technicians to promptly and cost effectively create tooling to support customer-specific applications.

These new fabrication capabilities will allow Schebler to build on our tradition of providing unparalleled customer value through individualized solutions.
