Schebler Specialty Fab has spent the last 130 years building our reputation as metal fabrication experts, providing high-quality specialty fabrication at an affordable cost. Our services and capabilities allow us to complete projects from urgent, high-quality, limited-run productions to one-time fabrications, on a short-term or extended-term basis. We’re highly recognized for providing on-site plant maintenance and upgrades that call for fabrication — we tailor our services to meet you where you are, whether it’s out in the field or in the office, customizing solutions to serve your unique needs.
As stewards of an employee-owned company, every Schebler Specialty Fab team member is highly motivated to deliver the best service and finest products. Our facilities comprise 177,2000 square feet along the Mississippi River, with 200 highly skilled employees-owners to support our business and serve our customers.
History and Legacy
Schebler Specialty Fab was founded as Schebler Brothers in 1895 by two German immigrant brothers, Joseph and Rudolph Schebler. They built a tiny “tin shop” to serve the sheet metal fabrication needs of the Quad Cities area, selling hardware and pot belly stoves along with their custom sheet metal fabrications. Over generations, the company became known as a team of master craftspeople and the go-to supplier of custom metal fabrication.
In 1980, the Schebler Company left the hands of the Schebler family, sold to a Minnesota-based group of investors that built on the company’s 95 years of expertise and experience to expand its capabilities, equipment, services and workforce. And in 2021, ownership of the Schebler Company returned to the hands of its employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Program that gave each employee a stake in the company and deeper rewards for their engagement, dedication and hard work.
