Progressive die stamping, efficiency you can see
The stamping press dates back more than one hundred years. However, Schebler’s precision stamping processes provide a clear strategic advantage in modern manufacturing.
At Schebler Specialty Fab, we take time to evaluate every project so we can fabricate the product in the most efficient and cost-effective way. Our objective is to optimize the cost of the part while ensuring high quality end results.
For example, our progressive die stamping press can save you time and money with its ability to efficiently produce a high volume of parts. Every time the die hits, it forms a different part of the piece, so you can see every part coming to life with each hit.
Lance McDanel, Vice President of Schebler Specialty Fab, explained why the progressive die can be beneficial. “After filling the press pipeline with material, every time the press comes down it completes a finished part and begins a new one,” he said. “It’s truly a progressive tool.” Instead of performing one operation at a time, the progressive process can complete multiple operations simultaneously. A part is then finished in the same amount of time it takes to perform a single operation. The progressive operation can be accomplished in one machine or multiple systems configured to work together.
When reviewing a new or existing project for your product, we consider a number of factors including part size, material, tolerances, profile, and quantity.
Whether blanking, embossing, coining, drawing, curling, forming, hemming, piercing, cutting off, or identifying parts, in conjunction with our battery of other manufacturing assets, Schebler Specialty Fab’s stamping presses can save you time and money on your next project.
For example, a UL Listed electrical box enclosure possesses many critical characteristics and product features that must be flawlessly duplicated thousands of times at a high production rate. Blanking, piercing, extruding, forming, and precisely tensioned knockouts can all be produced efficiently and accurately utilizing stamping presses and progressive tooling.
