Scheblers Groundbreaking Expansion
The Schebler Company Announces Groundbreaking Expansion
Bettendorf, IA – East Moline Metal Products recently announced that they will be ceasing operation. Schebler has purchased multiple assets from them and is relocating the assets to their factory in Riverdale, Iowa.
With this acquisition, Schebler’s tool and die design/build capabilities have been expanded and they are now able to perform stamping operations. Adding the new fabrication competencies heightens the services offered by Schebler Specialty Fab while also enhancing operations of other Schebler divisions.
Several employees of East Moline Metal Products will be joining Schebler, which also expands Schebler’s capabilities and fabrication know-how. Two of the employees from East Moline Metal Products who are joining the Schebler team are Lance McDanel, former EMMP President, as Vice President of Schebler Specialty Fab and Tim Johnson, former Quality Manager at EMMP, as Schebler’s Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
The assets acquired include multiple stamping presses, ranging from 45 to 200 ton, machining systems, tooling, and other related fabrication equipment.
Schebler President/CEO Jim Anderson states, “While I am saddened to see a business in the Quad Cities cease operation, adding these competencies to Schebler will make a significant contribution to our internal operations and the services we provide our customers. We look forward to building on our exceptional track record of providing high-quality fabrications by serving our existing and new customers in additional ways.”
The Economic Development group at the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce provided valuable support during the acquisition process.
